Cothill Fen is situated a few miles North-West of Abingdon and included within its boundaries is a National Nature Reserve (NNR). It forms a rather unique alkaline wetland habitat that has been designated as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The site is home to many rare plants, insects, birds and reptiles and is managed by Natural England.
Abingdon Green Gym work at this site alongside a warden from Natural England. Tasks include coppicing and management and maintenance of the reed beds.
The meeting point for Cothill Fen is the car park opposite the Merry Miller pub.
